Loving these 'crossbreed' names  Whatever happened to 'mongrel'?? ;)

  We still call Billy a mongrel.
I wonder if giving these names is a way of charging more for the puppies?

Billy was the best £80 we ever spent

Yes they are cashing in Jo.
There have always been cross-breeds, where you know what breed the two parents were, but without the fancy names.
A mongrel is more breeds mixed and often unknown.
My three dogs have all been crosses, you can have a fair idea of appearance and temperament.
Mongrels can if course be fantastic too :)

I completely think it’s a way of charging more Jo. I have a friend with a spoodle (springerxpoodle) his mum was a spoodle and his dad was a spoodle so in her eyes he is a pedigree Spoodle. She paid just shy of £500 for him

Another friend asked me why you don’t see Cockerpoos at Crufts.

People honestly think these are true breeds now.

I think they really do!!

Jen's boyfriend's sister has a Sprocker....a cross between a Springer and a Cocker spaniel. She's gorgeous but she is just nuts!!! Having had a pure bred Springer when I was married who was nuttier than a fruit cake, I fear Caitlin (the sister) has some fun times ahead!!

Yes, I'm very tempted to let her have a litter or two and make a huge pot of cash. But I better not call her a mongrel if I do
