She has confounded us all again. Just from late morning, her gums are pinker, as is her tongue, and even her ears have a glimmer of pink. She's been slightly more alert and moving around.
The vet was surprised I think but very happy
Now we have this balancing act. She's to have the same 25mg of the steroid until Saturday when we're to give her half a tablet a day. On Monday we go back for more blood tests (no point today as she's obviously responding to the steroids) and then cut down to half a tablet every other day if she's ok.
This is the problem - she can't stay on this dose, so we have to hope she improves quite a bit more by Saturday. I also need to now give her more meat protein (back to the chicken liver etc) once she's had today's fish...
Rollercoaster is the right word.
