Oh Debbie, I just don't know what to say  What a roller coaster of emotions. Fingers crossed the balloon stent does the trick.

So sorry to hear this, Debih. As Meriad said, hope the balloon stent works.

They haven't operated today as they didn't have the right size balloon stent so will be doing it tomorrow.

I have just spoken to the nurse who said that Millie is in fine form (she was quite subdued this morning after being sick) and although she hasn't kept any food down for such a long time is still strong and fighting to get better. She has told me to ring in the morning to speak to the vet who is going to be doing the operation as she has done it quite a few times and will be able to give me more information as to what happens.

I asked her if, if it did cure the problem, was it permanent and she said yes, it was.

We will just have to wait now.

Oh Debih, I am so sorry that she had taken a step backwards. I know in this area we have Cambridge veterinary college that take referrals from vets, is there nowhere that has a specialist in this area of expertise that might be able to offer some help?

I know you trust your vets but sometimes we all need a little extra help and in humans we don't leave it all to GP's we have consultants, no matter how much we trust our GP

We don't feel that we can put her through much more.

At the moment I just feel that she is spending what could possibly be the last few days of her life stuck in a cage when all she really wants to do is be at home and running around the fields.

We are pretty much decided that if this doesn't work we won't put her through anything else. It just doesn't seem fair on anyone, particularly her.
