Another problem :( She has an enormous blister-type growth on the top of one of her front paws, it only became apparent yesterday :? :( She's gone into work with B this morning, she'll need a sedative so they can look at it properly. It could be an embedded grass seed.

It's not a big op or anything, but sedation in older dogs carries risk, so some VV vibes would be much appreciated.....

Hi Kaz, sending vibes for Pepper, hopefully she will be fine, I think pets are monitored as well if not better than us during anaesthesia.

My dog had a grass seed years ago. It went in the base of his pad, and he was in pain so we went to the vets. They had a good look, and said to leave it for a week as once it was in the pain subsided and if it didn't pop out somewhere they would look. A week later he also had a large blood blister between his toes. It didn't seem to bother him, so we washed it and it burst and inside was the grass seed. They are horrible little things aren't they?

Yes, really horrid :( Becky just messaged, she's done now. Didn't need a GA just the sedation :D It was a grass seed, nasty things!!!

She'll be resting for the afternoon and come home with B after her shift :)

Thanks for the vibes :) xx
