Flipping Typical

I paid £7 for 7 pouches of kidney diet of all different flavours to find out which Mia liked. She liked the salmon, so I ordered a box of 12 pouches. Half way through I thought, better order some more, so because it was cheaper I bought 48 pouches of it. Now the little monkey won't touch it and the box of 48 hasn't even arrived yet. I have had to give in and give her Felix tonight which she is tucking into.

I shall have to try and mix this kidney diet stuff in with the Felix until it has all gone. Wonder if my friends with cats would appreciate a box of Hills K/d as a birthday present?

The problem is you can't get boxes of mixed flavours and I think she gets bored with the same flavour.

It's always the case Shell - speak to anyone on CatChat and they'll all tell you the same thing :D

Have a look at the expiry dates of the food - chances are it's got a fairly long time; so just don't feed it for a few days and then give her one or two pouches a week; hopefully she'll be fine with that and eat the food. I know my friend Sarah pulls her hair out as she feeds her cat a kidney appropriate diet (but not kidney specific food) and Pip won't eat the same flavour two days running either. She now has a range of different foods that she alternates :)

I'm lucky with mine in that a) they don't need a special diet and b) there are enough of them so that what the one won't eat another one will. So I randomly open a few pouches in the mornings and split them into various bowls and then leave them all to eat what they want. If they're hungry enough they'll eat even what they're not fond of.
