Moulting

Millie is moulting like mad at the moment - I have never known it this bad.

She is made up of lots of fine hairs and they are getting everywhere. I have taken to brushing her every day (much to her disgust) and still there are loads of hairs everywhere.

A friend said that her dog was the same - I wonder if it is going from such cold weather (snow) to suddenly being very warm.

Minnie moults like crazy every year, it's a nightmare, and she just won't learn how to use the hoover

Have you got a furminator? They sell them at the vets for a fortune but mine came from amazon for about 8 quid and is well worth it; they get out all the underneath hair, you get a mountain of it :D You brush them first to get rid of tangles, but it's very easy to use. You have to be careful to only go over each bit once or it would make them sore, but it doesn't hurt, Minnie loves it :)

Pepper rarely sheds, but when she does it is a bit like a sheep - little clumps of 'wool' everywhere. They are easier to get up than fine dog hair though......

I was going to suggest a furminator Debih, until I saw Di had beaten me to it. I know someone who swears by them :)

I will take a look at them.

The hair everywhere is driving me insane. I am going to knit her a onsie.

These are fantastic as well at getting the fine loose hair out of a coat; just be warned: do it outside:D

And because they're very soft it's like massaging the pet which most actually really like. And it really does work :)

I spotted some of those in the vets today. I might get one next time I am passing.
