My First Meeting with a Labradoodle

Met my first ever Labradoodle on Saturday. Don't know what to think really. He was only four months old with a delicious soft, curly, mid brown coat and kind Labrador eyes. The owners told me they don't mate one Labradoodle with another Labradoodle to get a litter. They cross a Labrador Retriever with a standard or miniature Poodle. Their reasons for buying one were they allegedly don't moult and are allergen-free.

I felt drawn towards it because we once had brother and sister Labrador/ Irish Wolfhound crosses (by accident-not design) and they had very long legs with barrel chests, one was shaggy coated like a Wolfhound and the other smooth coated like a Labrador and they both ran like the wind, but ate everything including doors, carpets and furniture and simply odd looking but we loved them. Maybe a new breed we could have called a Labradish?

Fugi, my first dog was a Labrador/Old English Sheepdog and she was just beautiful - looks and personality; she was just like a Disney dog :D

It was either just before or soon after we got her that I first saw the pictures (in the Daily Mail of course!) of this new breed called a Labradoodle, and I did fall in love with the idea. But Pepper couldn't have been improved upon (except she got car-sick), and Minnie is so very similar character-wise - and loves the car :D
Labradishes sound wonderful :D
