New Pal for Pepper?

Postby Kaz » 19 Sep 2013, 20:39

We have toyed with the idea in the past, of having another dog, she loves playing with other dogs as long as they aren't a lot bigger than her, and we think she might be a bit lonely as she is so clingy with Mick......and especially this last week since Becks moved out Pepper has clung to Mick like glue. We think for her sanity - and Mick's LOL - now might be a good time to find her a pal, a rescue dog roughly the same age we think.

Becky thinks it will make her less clingy, and give her another dog to bond with, instead of being overly bonded with Mick...........

I am very taken with this little girlie....................but we are only thinking about the idea at the moment   :D

Oh my, he's sooo cute! Is he a full brother, litter mate, or what? He does have a look of Billy a bit :D

Yep, full brother! In 'person' you can see a real likeness, he was returned because he bit the postman. He's a lovely fussy boy and apart from the dislike of strange men, the write up about him could be about Billy!

There was another of their brothers there last year when we went over, he was the absolute image of Billy but with a slightly darker and not so fluffy coat as Darjeeling.

Aw bless :D :D :D He is sorely tempting, but with Pepper being such a livewire B's suggestion was for a quiet girl who would calm her down a bit......That's the theory anyhow :?  ;)

Another dog would probably be ideal, especially as Pepper must be missing Becky.
I'd absolutely love another one, but really can't manage two :?

Have to say though that you might be better off looking at younger dogs. Not puppies, that wouldn't be fair on Pepper unless she really likes them, but older ones can be very set in their ways, and as it got older would be slowing Pepper down. A younger dog would keep Pepper young as well :)
Just my thoughts :)

Also, a quieter dog wouldn't necessarily calm Pepper down. And if she's so lively, that might scare a quiet dog; whereas another dog she could play with might help :)

Could be. I think they like you to take any dog you already have to meet the new dog before you adopt - to see how they get on :)
