Introducing Henry

I couldn't resist, could I? A friend of mine helps out at a rescue and posted about this little chap a few weeks back but he thankfully was rehomed before I could cave into temptation. However, two weeks ago I got a call from my friend to say that the cat had been returned to the rescue because the young daughter of the new owners was very rough with him and at one point had actually dropped him from 1/2 way down the stairs. Thankfully he wasn't injured and thankfully the family did the right thing and brought him right back to the rescue so needless to say I jumped at the chance.

He's 5 months old, mom was a persian and dad a mog and I've named him Henry. He's got such a cute grumpy face and so far seems to be settling in really well. The rest of the furry gang - besides Harry - aren't overly convinced I've done the right thing but that's always the case. Harry thankfully LOVES other cats and he's totally fascinated and besotted :)

Oh he is gorgoeus!!! :D :D :D Congrats Ria :D

As an aside, I do hope they are going to work on that child's behaviour - I hate to hear of children not being taught to respect animals :? xxx

thanks everyone - I also think he's quite a cutie :D

and I totally agree Kaz; I'm not sure how old the daughter was, but I believe about 4; so old enough (says me that has no kids ;) ) to be taught right from wrong. And the sad thing in a way is that this couple had an older son who was absolutely distraught when Henry was returned because he absolutely loved the kitten and effectively was being punished for something the daughter did.

Nasty little brat if you ask me :? Not very PC but any of mine who'd done that would have had a slapped leg and sent to bed

Poor lad! That is so unfair :(

Same here Kaz, and yes Ria - at four the child should be told and be able to understand that you don't treat animals like that! It's very sad that her brother lost his pet due to her :(

He's a lucky boy being rehomed by you - how many cats do you have now?
