Oh Aggers, my heart goes out to you today. We all know how much you and Mrs A adore your wonderful Prince.
He has had such a good life with you both. What kinder gift can you give Prince than to be with him in his last moments.
He will know nothing apart from the love you have for him. Take comfort from that dear Aggers.

Well, we got through the day with not too many tears.

We took Prince in the park in the afternoon before we went to the Vets,
and he had a lovely time playing with other dogs. Then to the Vets.

I went in with him when his time came, so that I could cuddle him. He never
flinched or made a sound, and it was all over very quickly and painlessly. The
Vet said we had made the right decision. I'm afraid my stiff upper lip let me
down afterwards, and our home seems very strange without him.

Mrs A and I did appreciate all your kind remarks, even if they made us cry.

It will be some time before we get over today.

P.S. I'll keep my Prince Avatar, if you don't mind.
Aggers

Dearest Aggers, I have been popping in and out all day waiting for your post. It is such a heartbreaking decision to make, but the right one. How lovely of you to take Prince out for a wonderful walk and a time to play with his doggy chums. Then a peaceful passing in the arms of his loving master and friend. There couldn't have been a better way for him to end his time here with you. He will live forever in your heart and mind and we will be honoured to keep the lovely picture of Prince here as a reminder to us all of a very special dog and companion xxx

Oh Aggers, it's the saddest day, even when you know it's right.
Your home will seem very empty without him, and I so wish there was something any of us could do that would help, but there is nothing.
All we can do is understand (((xx)))

Oh Aggers, such a sad day. Prince had so much love in his life, right until the end.
I'm so glad you're keeping your avatar...
