I'm so sorry to read about Prince and sorry I'm so late to this thread. Your home must feel very empty and strange without your beloved friend, but you and Mrs A did the right thing for Prince. It's often said that it's the final kindness you can give a dearly loved pet and it's very true.

Your kind comments have helped me considerably to cope with the emotional trauma,
which was far greater then I would have expected.

One final item....

When we first visited the holiday cottage earlier this year, and we all fell in love with it,
we paid a visit to the Jinney Ring Craft Centre and placed an order with an artist there
for an oil painting of our beloved Prince. We collected this on the Monday of our first
week. It is lovely, but we have not yet reached the point when we feel we can cope
with looking at it again without getting too emotional. But it will, eventually be hung,
with pride, in our lounge, as a reminder of, and a tribute to, our beloved Prince.
