Believe me for the first few weeks I wished he was a day cat, didn't sleep a wink, and still panic on the rare occasion he isn't at the door at 5am waiting to come in...but you can't stop the forces of nature and although he may return some mornings with scratches and once a bit of his ear was hanging off (!), he loves it, and is as we speak curled in a ball on the sofa where he will remain for the rest of the day - and I'm safe in the knowledge that he is ok :D

Cats, like their owners, are so very different, I guess.

Even my two who are litter brother and sister are totally different personalities. Is Smudge neutered Gal? He might not be as liable to get into scrapes with the local boys if he didn't have the "urges".
