Thanks to the wet, mild winter, we've had a bumper crop of tayberries this year - at least 70-80 fruits off the bush now, I reckon. The other day, I saw a squirrel hanging off the trellis, helping himself to some ..... I opened the bedroom window, clapped my hands, the squirrel took off over the trellis - and the bottom of the bush exploded as a whole family of panicking mistle thrushes came screaming out from underneath it!!
Not many butterflies yet - but we have sighted a Comma, which although not exactly rare, does seems to be unusual around us!
