This one has just sold over the road from D. The prices are going up steeply here. It’s a lovely, quiet road but even so…..

I had heard that things had gone a little bonkers over there, but 20K over t he asking price?

A friend has her house under off. It was on for 269,000 but they were prepared to accept 230.000 which is what it cost them. Holiday home over here.

My colleague at work is buying a house that has failed the survey She started looking again, the first one had 27 viewings booked already.

Kaz that house over the road to D is exactly the same layout as my house, but behind the garage we have a utility room accessed from the kitchen

It’s crazy here.
Places are selling as soon as they go on the market so unless you’re quick off the mark you’ve got very little chance.

Kaz, I expected that one to have one of those large living kitchen extensions with bi-folds for that price! It’s a lovely family house though, and the garden looks the same size as the one at our old house - great when the boys were young but I certainly don’t miss keeping it tidy

Shell, our house in Swindon was similar, but only cost us 170k in 2004, so half that price

Jo it should have, for that much money  I actually miss having a bit more garden, but not that big ;)

This one has just gone on the market in our road. It's a few doors up from us and it's a corner plot, therefore a bit bigger than ours.
An very elderly lady lived in it and we suspect she might have passed away or gone into care. According to the blurb, she was the original occupant from new; the bungalow is 30 years old. Looking at the interior pics, it looks like the original décor complete with avocado-style suite, and it's interesting to see the agents have said:
This lovely home offers well-proportioned accommodation whilst still boasting vast room for modernisation that will certainly meet the needs of many potential buyers.
Not often you see an agent state "vast room for modernisation" .... :D

Fairly priced in my book, given the current market down here.
