Weedkiller

As we cannot buy roundup or anything similar here now, I found a natural weedkiller.

But be warned, once used on the ground, apparently, nothing else will grow / which is great for my rather large gravel area.

The recipe is for a gallon, so we-ve made it into litres, as that-s a hek of a lot of vinegar

4.55 litres of vinegar
one normal cup of salt
one tablespoon of salt

Mix it all together and spray / works wonders :Hi:

Saves me sitting on my bottom several times a year, pulling up all the weeds from the gravel.

Jan, last week we decided to use some proprietary moss and weed killer on our paving slabs out front. Made up the mixture OK, carefully brushed it on and left it. Unfortunately there's a slight slope off the slabs down towards our front lawn ....

We've now got a 3" arc of yellow, dead grass all along the lawn closest to the slabs ....

Been banned here Manxie - and to use it, in a weaker solution, you have to have a government course and then a licence

So - is that one cup and another tablespoon of salt? What an odd measurement! How big a cup?

Oh, sorry, blame the heat.

It should be a tablespoon of washing up liquid.

Half a mug ;)

I use some small cups I have here, but I would think about half a coffee mug should do it - it's not exact, but works. Not on grass though, by the look of it.

The council use to kill our roadside weeds with steam. Then the councils merged, and now they use roundup. Grr
