And the house we're going to see is now reduced to 100,000   Probably get it for a little less, if we push, but we do know that the bloke has just suffered a family bereavement and is back in the UK. Permanently.

Any-one rich enough to lend us the dosh????

 Doubtful, but it doesn't hurt to ask :P

I wish your house would sell for you, it's taking forever! :(

I know, I know Kaz, dreadful, all this waiting.

But it's the economic climate here.

We could take our dosh out of the investments and then wait for this one to sell, but we'd lose money that way, so we'll just have to wait

Yes, it must be tempting but much more sensible to wait (((((x)))))

Kaz, this is the house around the corner that I was telling you about the other day, on the market at around £225,000. It sold almost four years ago for £194,950 which is bang on the same price that we paid for our house 18 months earlier.

http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-60375884.html

We looked at the semi-detached version when we were buying ours but it was smaller and had less rooms, the ground floor basically comprises of the kitchen and a downstairs toilet. The three bedrooms were a good size but the fourth bedroom would've had to double up as a study where as we've got a separate one and there's no dining room, although we use ours as a second living room.
This house is in an odd position too, as it's situated between two corners. The house on the left which you can just see the edge of is on one corner and then the house on the other end of the terrace is opposite the next corner, so there are two 90 degree bends in a short space, it's on of the two 'main' roads which run through the estate, people park all around and on the corners so it's just a matter of time before there's an accident because frequently people have to drive blindly on the wrong side of the road.

Oh right, nice house but I take on board what you said about the corner!!

This is the one near us, that I mentioned :) Very nice but over 60k more than we paid for ours, which is double fronted, and we have bigger bedrooms!! This does have a separate dining room, but then the kitchen is smaller and I prefer our combined kitchen/diner, to be honest. They do have a conservatory, but otherwise bit gobsmacked at the price!
