That's very interesting, Kaz; I'd have said that latest one listed - 4 bed detached 3 storey town house - would have been fetching not far off £330k in the Birmingham estate we were on, compared with your £315k. Only possible drawback might be the single garage..... and not everyone likes 3 storeys .....

Yes but property prices have always been a bit low here Ossie, it isn't a prosperous city, and as those two others haven't shifted I think they're being overambitious ;) Usually houses fly off here.

Four bed detached seem to be priced at around £280k-300k here. A five bed detached (the style that's quite like your house Kaz) on our close sold for £295k three years ago and the house up the end of the close, the largest type on the estate and again five beds, sold for around £320k nearly two years ago.

I think if these were priced at 300k or preferably £299 950 they would fly ;) We'll see

Jo a 5 bed here sold for, I think, around 320k here, but I think that's top whack! It had two en suites as well, whereas the 4 beds have one.

This is near a few streets away from us, there are only four of these house on the whole estate and they're quite. Same with our house, there're only four sets of semis in our style.
I remember seeing about these detached houses in the brochure when we were buying ours though and our house is actually bigger.

Jo your house is bigger than mine too, despite being a semi ;) This one certainly is, I would love a conservatory for a start but we really can't spare the garden space!

Our house is very deceptive, from the front it doesn't look like it'll be that big inside but it goes quite a long way back. We could potentially convert the loft too as its a good size and there's lots of room to stand upright. We'd need lots and lots of money to do that though and really there's not much point.
We've toyed with the idea of a conservatory too but the garden's small and we'd lose a fair chunk of it. It's something we do still consider every now and again though. Three houses on the close have had orangeries built.

I often think that ours is the opposite and looks much bigger from the outside  Still love it though, and it is certainly plenty big enough for us ;)

Lots of the houses here have conservatories, but while we still have the dogs I think it would be unfair - at the moment they can still run and play in it 8-)
