Massive jump Kaz and not worth it.

She spent about 100,000 getting all her stuff and animals over here, so probably another 100,000 getting it all back again.

Hence the big jump, we think ;)

We’re currently stalking Rightmove as one of our neighbours, two doors away with the same house as ours, have put their house up for sale.
They moved to Cornwall a year ago but have been using the house as he still has work in the area so has been staying there during the week.

The for sale board has been up for a week but it’s not on Rightmove or on the estate agent website yet, and we’re curious to know what it’s worth.
John’s been making noises about moving, especially since Tom moved over to the Burton on Trent. We’d get a lot more for our money over there, for instance theres a lovely design of 4 bed new build on Tom’s estate selling at £360,000, which obviously includes new build premium, and the same design house, but a few years old, on an estate here up for sale at £430,000.

I have to keep reminding him though that it’s not something we can do while Joe’s still at home as it’d add too much onto his commute.

Going for a similar size house then, rather than downsizing? :) I'm still wavering about whether we did the right thing, deciding to stay here - and that house we liked in Hucclecote is still on for sale. I walk past it every Friday when Mick drops me off to meet Em before our SW meeting....... :? Mick's relieved I think

We're waiting on various permissions for the conservatory, perhaps I'll be more convinced once that's up

I think you will feel differently once that’s done. It might have eased your mind more if you’d been able to get it done straight away. Hope the permissions come through soon.

Yeah, I think we like the extra space this house gives us. Burton would be ideal for John for work as it’s just a drive down the A38 to Lichfield. Not totally ruling out downsizing at some point though, we’d both like to move north and like the villages around Saddleworth but that’s not practical until John retires.
Anyway, just to show what prices are like in Burton. John was over there at Tom’s the other weekend while me and Joe were at a match. We went there afterwards to join them and John had been a walk around the estate and found these houses so took me to see, and they really are lovely.
