Melted plastic

In my slightly piddled state last night, I melted a plastic spatula on the hob   I've managed to get some of it off, by picking at it - but there is a large blob still stuck.

Any ideas?

I asked himself. Once I'd reassured him that I hadn't melted plastic on our hob :P he said maybe if you got it warm again it might scrape off? :? :ugeek:  :?:

I'll try it, but will have to be very careful.

Grumpy hasn't seen it yet

A very sharp knife with a thin blade if possible and with the blade almost flat on the hob literally cut it off.

I did similar recently by knocking the plastic strainer onto the hot hob by the time I could empty my hands to get it off it had melted on.

I did as I advised you with one of my butchering filleting knives and got it all off .....OR ......if you have one a paint scraper that you use to remove excess paint of the glass of the window when you have slipped with the brush when decorating

We have got a scaper with renewable blades which we use to scrap the rings on our hob. This removes anything which has been burnt onto the glass hob.

No scartches.. Just a wipe over after use.

Try Google as I can't remember where we bought them.
