Battery/cordless vacuum cleaners

I've been looking into these for a few weeks, as mine (normal vacuum) is on its last legs.

We can't get a lot of the Dyson - yes, I know I can get one sent over, but then you've got an English plug and only one year guarantee (we get 2 years here, as normal) but was looking at Beko's.

Any thoughts?

We've had Beko in the past (fridge, IIRC) and had no problems with it, cheap and cheerful compared with other white goods suppliers, but whilst they have generally good reviews, I think they have had their safety issues in the past over tumble driers.

No experience with their vacuum cleaners, but GoodHousekeeping has a review of one model:

We have a Sharp powered from the mains upstairs and two others downstairs. All are much lighter than the Dyson which we still have but heavy.
They pick up just as good as the Dyson.
