Our shutters

Postby JoM » 30 Jan 2023, 17:28

We’ve been so pleased with these on the front of the house, we’d intended just tidying up the windows at the back and side of the house with new Venetian blinds but after seeing how they’ve transformed the rooms I’ve put an order through for the landing window and the four back windows on the top two floors (the kitchen has French doors with single narrow side windows so we’ll leave those as they are).

Living room (the bedroom has a single fake sash window with a shutter)

Lovely, Jo.

We went for vertical blinds rather than shutters. Do you see any practical advantages fitting shutters rather than blinds?

We find they keep the heat in nicely, Ossie. They're also more adjustable, for when it's very sunny.
