Dining Room Chairs

Postby cruiser2 » 20 Jul 2023, 10:31

I have four good woden dining room chairs with padded seats.

None of the charity shops will take them as they do not have a label to show the padding is fire resistatnt.
It would cost about £30.00 for each chair to have new covers fitted with e the fire retardant lables.

Should I have them done or just give the money as a donation and take the chairs to the dump.

Do you have a local Freecycle or Facebook page? Usually things like that in good condition will go.

We had a nice pine dining set that we wanted rid of before we moved here, none of the charities would take it because of a few tiny teeth marks on the feet, made by our dog when she was a pup. I put it on Freecycle and almost got my hand bitten off, I could have shifted it several times over on the first day! The young woman who took it was thrilled to bits with it.
