I can't remember a thread about this before although I think there was one somewhere...

Anyway, in view of our pending new arrival, I am thinking about making a little cardi/bonnet set or something. Has anyone any ideas how I can get hold of a pattern? I have wool already

Kaz I have googled for two days and none of the sites I've looked at have anything helpful - this one does! Thanks soooo much

Although the site must be American as it doesn't give you the thickness of wool, I have bought DK (double knitting)

There are thousands of free patterns and you can see other peoples pictures and comments about each pattern.

You can search by putting a name of what you want to make (ie bonnet), the type of wool, how much wool, etc.

It really is an amazing site.

I bought this book from the Book People just before Christmas and it looks like it's just what I need but I've not yet got around to attempting anything. I'm fine with the basics though but I'd like to do a bit more.

You tube is fab for tutorials.
