to defrost a fridge/freezer?

The beer fridge is in the garage, so has a marble floor, so no worries about wet stuff.

There is not a lot in it at the mo  and what is in the small freezer bit at the top, I can stuff in the kitchen freezer.

Should I just turn it off and put a bowl of warm water in the freezer?

It's the freezer that needs sorting, the fridge often gets cleaned.

Ta muchly xx

I usually turn it off, put a bowl of warm water in, leave the door ajar and put some towels on the floor around it, just in case.

Usually works a treat.

Which reminds me, mine needs doing.

Wot Kaz said! :D I also pop a washingup bowl at the foot of the freezer to catch the thawing water, and I also give it a helping hand by easing the bigger iced up bits off with a plastic spatula (provided with the freezer) as the thawing process gets under way - takes me about 30-45 minutes from start to finish :D

Took blummin' ages

Worked out that it's been 7 years since we bought it and although we moved into the garage (sorry, Grumpy's workshop  ) I hadn't actually defrosted

All done now though :D
