How do I clean my iron?

Postby miasmum » 15 Jan 2013, 17:22

I have just used some wonderweb and some of it has stuck to the plate of my iron. You can't see it, but you can't iron, it just sticks to everything.

Any suggestions

I did it with Cif and a plastic scourer

Then you need one of these...

They are fantastic. I've used one for 15 years and would never iron again without one

I usually just put some washing up liquid on a wire scouring pad and scrub until the wonder web/whatever comes off-it usually only takes a minute or two.
