Transferring a document to VV

Transferring a document to VV

Postby cruiser2 » 25 Aug 2016, 15:47

I have a document which I have scanned and saved in "My Documents". It is all words and I printed off from another web site and then scanned it and saved it in "My Documents". It is only one A4 page.
I now want to put the complete document into a message on VV.
Have tried using "Upload attachment" but I get an error message.
Any help much appreciated.

A much easier way is to go back to the web page where the text was found. Highlight he text you want, the stuff you printed, then do a right click and choose 'Copy'.

Open a post in VV and then right click and 'Paste'. Highlight the text in the posting form and from the toolbar select 'Quote', this allows you to name the source of the text - it is only right to do so.

BTW How did you get on with the 360 TS problem, you never said?

WM,
Thank you for your reply.
I am going to try it shortly.
As a friend used to say, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. So I haven't done anything to the 360TS or any other programmes. Still regularly checking for scams, viruses etc and no problems so far.

Yes, Suff and I were of similar mind.

It is pssible to fine tune these things, but if they are doing the job sometimes it is as well to let them get on with it and then cope with what they do.

Good luck with the C&P of the text .... I do it all the time - see this post as an example. ;)

WM,
Have managed to get the info onto the Cafe.
I have posted it twice as Saundra has said she cannot see it.
May try some more later
Thanks again for your help

Let me try with this thread.

I highlighted the text in your first post, copied it then pasted it here:

I have a document which I have scanned and saved in "My Documents". It is all words and I printed off from another web site and then scanned it and saved it in "My Documents". It is only one A4 page.
I now want to put the complete document into a message on VV.
Have tried using "Upload attachment" but I get an error message.
Any help much appreciated.

The I highlighted it again and quoted it and attributed it you you:

This is what Cruiser wrote.
