The old one had finally failed.

What he called for was that he said the computer was flying with the new keyboard.

Obviously the old one was constantly resetting the usb and dragging down Windows performance with it.

There is a place in Windows where you can see what is going on with your computer. It is the event viewer. If something is going wrong then there will be entries in the event log and the viewer lets you see it. The thing is the only people who ever look there are IT professionals who want to find out whether an error is being reported and what it might be.

Not every error is an issue, but it is where you can find things which are wrong. Taking the event id down and putting it into google will usually elicit a log of information.

I just had a look at mine. You can filter by type, critical only has power loss reboots. But errors tell me that VirtualBox is misbehaving and if I uninstall it things may go a bit better.
