Lost email

Postby cruiser2 » 04 Mar 2024, 20:48

I want to retreve an email which I have deleted. It was from mylocal council and contained information which I want.
I get emails from the council at least twice a month telling me what they are wasting my council tax on.

I may go to the council offices tomorrow and see if they can help.

If you just pressed delete cruiser it should be in the deleted folder. With various names such as "Trash" (outlook), to "deleted items" best just to have a look.

If it has been gone longer it might be more of an issue to get back but if your mail system has an archive you may find it in there.

Different mail systems, different rules.

Oh, it's a minefield.

If you have a downloaded email client - Outlook, eM Client, Essential PIM, Thunderbird or so on it might be in a log or backup file.

If you use online email - gmail, outlook, gmx. zoho, mail etc, - they might still have it.
