Mysearchdial

Mysearchdial has installed itself on my hard drive and I simply can't get rid of it. I've done all the recommended things:

:Control Panel>Programs>uninstall mysearchdial toolbar (there was no toolbar there so it's well hidden)
:Tools>manage addons (it's not there either)
:I've added the website to my popup blocker

and still the damn thing keeps trying to redirect me when I type a website into the address bar.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is this any use Liz? http://malwaretips.com/blogs/start-myse ... l-removal/

Do the lot, including the bit right at the end from "Hello" onwards.

Thanks Frank. I've run Malwarebytes but that didn't find anything. I'll follow your link and see whether that does the trick.

Another source of help is: http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.ph ... SearchDial

If manually removing the files and folders listed you should have hidden files/folders shown. I would also suggest using Eraser to to wipe the files rather than a simple delete.

As for the registry entries the ADWCleaner should have already found and removed them.

Morning Frank. I've worked my way through the list. I'd already done the first three things but not the one about Search Providers. Now that I've done that it seems to have done the trick. I'll do the Malwarebytes again just to be on the safe side. Thanks again.
