We know this has happened before, but can't remember how we fixed it.
Everything has a shadow, whatever site - and even before going to any sites. Have restarted, and Bb has tried adjustments on the monitor.
Help!

Di, you do not say if it's a CRT, flat panel or laptop screen.

Assuming that it is for a PC the first thing I would do is dis and reconnect the monitor video out cable - at both ends if that is the type. If that makes no difference then you are in to all the things that you have probably done - set the monitor to Auto, set the resolution on the graphics card to different ones available and also try different refresh rates, check the brightness level. Check Windows' power options/settings, font smoothing/clear type, visual effects and Display properties, maybe try new graphic card drivers.

Thanks WM - I think the only thing Bb or I haven't done is the graphic card drivers, but at the moment it seems to have fixed itself, or maybe I/we have fixed it :?
Btw it's a flatscreen monitor, a very nice one, thanks to a friend passing it on (IIyama Prolite thingy).

Sorry nothing to add.

It sounds like a refresh speed or resolution size issue. TFT/LED screens can look incredibly blurry if you set it to too low a resolution. Mine look like an Artists impression when set to 1024x768.

Just a question, does the graphics card have a control panel in the system tray with keystroke combinations for setting the resolution? That could have been an issue where a keystroke keeps getting inadvertently pressed and bouncing the resolution.
