32-bit or 64-bit?

Can anyone tell me how to determine whether my Windows is 32 bit or 64 bit ?

Go to your computer control panel. Then click System. It is 32 bit, well mine is.

Start, Right Click on the computer icon, select properties.

Under System

System Type will tell you if it's 32 or 64.

I'd expect it to be 64.

64-bit, but then the computer's only a couple of years old.

I also have an ancient 32-bit stand-alone PC which I use to run various MS.DOS games dating back from the last century (!) which can't be loaded on modern systems ... :mrgreen:

They can, however, be virtualised and gain a huge speed increase running on your new machine. I do this a lot and I also use it to keep a working copy of my old machines when I upgrade.

Yes, it is 64 - bit.
