I haven't come across Ida yet, I'll let you know if I do.

Joe's going to look at installing that app on his Firestick, it sounds good!

Definitely no Ida, Gal! Fantastic book though, I finished it a few days ago.

I am just finished watching Episode 5 of I think 8 online and the storyline has changed a fair bit, which I don't like. Despite it being a while since I read it, certain bits stick in my memory and so far quite a few haven't materialised.

In fairness It does say "based on the novel by SK" but you'd think....

Glad you enjoyed it, I loved it too!! :D

With a series they can't even use that excuse for missing things out that's always trotted out with films about having to condense a long book down to two hours on screen, can they?!

I want to read the next two in the Bill Hodges trilogy now.

*Edit* just looked at the cast list on IMDb. Lou Linklatter? She's called Freddi in the book. Also, I'm sure that Holly Gibney was said to be nearly 50 and plain yet a 28 year old very pretty actress has been cast!

Oh now I have forgotten about that....no idea why they'd change Freddi to Lou....

There's also a bit about Bill's family, I don't remember him having a daughter in prison? Or an exwife ....

Getting a bit cross now, 'based on' is right, very base!!!

In the book I thought the daughter and ex-wife were living out on the West Coast? I remember that his daughter called him every now and again but he hadn't seen her for two years, certainly no mention of prison though.
