Our library

Postby tonicha » 09 Feb 2016, 20:13

in Ourique has a limited selection of English books - and as I'm slowly getting through some of the books I brought up with me, I'm giving them to the library.

They are sooooo grateful - any and all photocopying that I've had to have done is all free :D :D :D

We can have 3 books each - a month :o     - as I told Fatima, the lovely, friendly and so helpful receptionist - I can get through that in a week

So she's letting me have some of her books to read - and I'm going to let you know, as soon as I read them, what the Portuguese authors are like - as she's giving me the English translation.

Good for you, Ton, for donating to your local library.

We do the same, and they are ever so grateful as there are no council budget funds for new fiction at the moment. I checked the on-line catalogue recently and saw that the last two books we donated were sent straight out to other branch libraries in Birmingham where customers were on the waiting list for them .....
