I've just started The Librarian, by Sally Vickers. It's a bestseller that I picked up to browse in Waterstones, but thought it might be cheaper on kindle, and it was. I'm enjoying it so far - it's about a young woman in the 1950s who moves to a small town to be in charge of a children's library and meets the local doctor, who is unhappily married....

Any good, Kaz?

I'm reading Coming Home To The Comfort Food Cafe by Debbie Johnson. I've read a previous one in this series and enjoyed it and this had snowflakes on the picture so I downloaded it as I like a Christmas book :D

Well I've just finished "Fire and Blood", George R. R. Martin's 706-page prequel to "Game of Thrones" ….. blimey o'reilly, and that was only Part 1 of it as far as I can gather!

I think the intention is that there will be two parts, Jo, but it's taken him around 5 years to produce this opening marathon!

Apparently Roisin O'Connor, the literary critic in The Independent, stated that reading it feels like: "you've been assigned a mildly interesting, but often tedious, piece of homework"!

You might have a bit of a wait for part 2 then?
You may have to re-read part 1 to refresh your memory when the time comes
