What are we reading in August?

Postby Ally » 01 Aug 2020, 05:13

I'm reading Anna Lou Weatherley's Black Heart.

It's flippin brilliant!

I've just discovered her and am delighted to find she's got a few books under her belt. :cute:

This is one of a series of Dan Riley books.

I'm a little bit in love with him. :D

Girls Weekend by Jody Gehrman - it was advertised on my FB page and I'm always a sucker for a good synopsis....reviews were good so I bought it (Kindle) and am enjoying it up to now!

I’m still reading Andrew Ridgeley’s book. I had to smile at one bit I read the other day where he talked about Wham!’s appearance on Saturday Superstore when they were promoting Young Guns and how that show was a good one to appear on because young girls would go out on the Saturday afternoon and buy a single they’d heard and liked on there. That was me! I clearly remember going to town after seeing Wham! on there and buying Young Guns from Boots, back when they had a record counter

And The Charlatans and Johnny Marr one week later

Halfway through Graham Norton's latest, The Keeper. He can certainly tell a tale, his first novel - Holding - was absolutely brilliant, and this one is really gripping! I only bought it yesterday, and got halfway through in a couple of hours 8-) :D

Just finished The Couple Next Door by Shari Lapena.

Fab!!!

Now for Ragdoll. A debut novel for Daniel Cole and the reviews look excellent.
