I keep forgetting to post on here.

I've just started Anna Lou Weatherley's The Night of the Party and I'm really enjoying it.

Re-reading a book I loved many, many years ago. "Tales of the City" by Armistead Maupin. 1970's San Francisco and all that entailed :D

I've just finished A Casual Vacancy by JK Rowling.

Took me a while to get into it, but I really enjoyed it in the end

Has anyone read the Richard Osman "Thursday Murder Club" series?

Brilliantly observed, had Mrs O and I rolling in the aisles; we could identify with so many of his asides.

I've just finished all the Jack Rreacher books we had, and now on the Michael Connelly books. Re-reading. Spoke to Fatima, in the library this afternoon and she's going to lend me a book she bought. Thankfully, it's in English, my reading skills are way behind Grumpy.

I'm currently reading Michael Connolly's latest "The Dark Hours" It's bang up to date, many references to Covid and it paints a terrible picture of morale in the LAPD. That said, it's a gripping read.

I think the Lee Child Jack Reacher series has sadly passed it's sell-by date, TBH. The collaboration with his brother doesn't quite work. Felix Francis was a worthy successor to Dick Francis in the horse-racing crime field; sadly, Andrew (Grant) Child doesn't really cut it. Just a personal view.

Totally agree Ossie.

Way behind with Michael Connelly, we don't have English books up here.

Trying to get them sent over is a no no, because of brexit and customs. And I don't have a kindle thingy.

I'll just go to our local library and read books other people have left.

I've got the Kindle app on my Amazon fire tablet and I honestly don't know how I did without it... especially after being nagged for years to buy a Kindle.

In the last week I've read 3 fab books, reading a great one atm - The Guest Room by Rona Halsall and have just this minute bought The Madness of Grief by the Reverend Richard Coles which he wrote after losing his partner at the end of 2019.

Each one has cost 99c. :cute:
