I have just started The Last House on the Street by Diane Chamberlain, I love books about the deep south.

I bought it with my weekly shop and said to Tim I always feel its an extravagance buying a book, they should be given by friends or from charity shops. That explained the first part of my dream that I was shopping for books in a charity shop, what it didnt explain is why I left the shop with a moose on a lead!!!!!! A moose????????

That's my third favourite book Jo.

I'm racing through Lynda Bellingham's There's Something I've Been Dying To Tell You.

I read Jackie's copy when it first came out but it was on Kindle yesterday for 99c so I bought it.

I always thought she came across as so lovely.

A wonderful book, and a cracking film too 8-)

Fluffy reading for me this month - A Lady’s Guide to Fortune Hunting: A Novel by Sophie Irwin. It’s a Regency novel, along the lines of Georgette Heyer. Fun read so far :)

I am also working my way through the Coronation Street novels, based on the soap of course, but set during WW II ;) The first one was about a very young Elsie Tanner, and the second one is next on my list. There are five altogether, written by Maggie Sullivan.

What are your first two favourites Al?

I first read it during the Summer holidays when I was 14, and on going back to school in September it turned out to be our set book for Eng Lit O level so it was dissected every which way over the two years.

The film is beautiful Kaz, I really want to see the West End play.

It's being banned in many American schools, I honestly think they're going bonkers over there :? :(

I vaguely remember Peyton Place, my mum used to watch it. Mia Farrow and Ryan O'Neil.
