For ages I resisted buying Judy Finnegan's first book just because (because what?- no idea!) but got it in the end and enjoyed it, so didn't bother resisting Fern so much but relied on the reviews instead :D

If it's the same JF one I am thinking of, I really enjoyed it - can't remember the title of it now though :oops:

That's it - I think it's set in Cornwall or similar, I do remember enjoying it :D

Today they have The Uncommon Reader by Alan Bennett, don't know why I haven't read it but it's £1.09 so have got it now 8-)

If you liked Fat Chance by Nick Spalding there's another, Bricking It, with good reviews, for £1 :)
