It's still August here
But I'm reading that freebie, 50 Reasons to Hate the French - not a silly book which is what it sounds like, quite interesting and yes funny too

Love Rules by Freya North, I'm enjoying it but one of the main characters is really annoying me.

I am still reading Instructions for a Heatwave.
I am really enjoying it but just don't seem to have much time to read. I am only half way through and it (and another book I haven't even started yet) are due back at the library tomorrow. I am hoping I can renew them.

Damn - I can't. They have holds on.
I will just have to finish reading the one I am reading as quickly as possible and pay the fine and then re order the other one.
Damn.

I have started the book that I had to take back to the library and order again.
It is fantastic.
Kate Atkinson "Life After Life".
I am not very far through it yet but am really enjoying it. It is about a the life of a woman who keeps coming back to life. She dies and then is born again and lives her life again. She vaguely remembers things and does things differently to stop herself from dying (or tries to change things to stop things happening to other people).
So far it is much easier to follow than The Time Travellers Wife as it doesn't jump about - so far the only bit out of order is each time she is born again. Other than that it sticks to chronological order. I'm not far into it yet - she is born in 1910 and I have just finished 1918 and am about to start on 1947.

I'm really looking forward to that one Debih, it's ready and waiting
Since Bb's little problem I just haven't read a thing, been so busy that in between I'm too damned tired to do anything demanding attention
Edited to add - I still loved the Time Traveller's Wife though

I like the sound of that Debbie!
I've just finished The Age Of Miracles by Karen Thompson Walker. I really enjoyed it.
Next for me will be Instructions For A Heatwave by Maggie O'Farrell.
