Mum

We had recorded this but not got around to watching it.
A new series starts on Tuesday so yesterday we thought we'd give it a go.
It's terrific! We watched three episodes and laughed at each of them, really looking forward to the rest :)

Do give it a go Jo, there's not many so-called comedies we find funny

We're the same. I'm currently working my way through The Big Bang Theory on Netflix, I've watched them before but there's not really much else I feel inclined to watch. I'm almost at the end of that though now.

We're very much looking forward to series 2 of This Country starting next weekend though, we were in bits watching the first series.

I take it you liked it then!

Of course we're cross now as we're having to wait a whole week between episodes :D

We've now got just the one episode of the first series left to watch. We went into Stafford, bought Tassimo caramel lattes and gorgeous cakes from Sainsburys and sat down to watch.

It'll be hard waiting for the one episode a week! We watched all of the first season of This Is Us before Christmas, limiting ourselves to one episode a night to make it last, but now we're waiting for season two to start and no UK start date has been given yet. We've even been trying to find downloads if it from the US but have had no luck.

Jo I have also been waiting patiently (not!) for the second series of This Is Us to begin but nothing so far - can't even find it to stream anywhere :(

Not seen Mum - what's it about?

Gal, it starts just after the husband/father has died (the first episode is the day of the funeral which probably doesn't sound funny but really is) and then the first series takes place over the following year. It's one of those well written comedies which mixes laughter with moments of sadness.

I'm trying to avoid any spoilers for This Is Us, Gal - it's not easy though and a fair bit gets given away by US friends on Facebook.
