Yes they blimmin were! I have always liked Vicky McClure but I've not seen the other lady in anything else.

Can't wait for next week!

You don't recognise the other actress Gal? :D

She played Alison Hughes (Joe's mum) in The A Word last year. Think her name's Morven Christie.

She's excellent and so pretty too.

ETA..I've just seen a clip for next week's episode.

Can't wait!

Nor me!

The Replacement, the first five mins and I was hmmmm, but I am so glad I stuck with it.

Broadchurch, well, I mean, it is always good.

I didn't see The Replacement, largely because I've got a run of Tuesday night soccer games locally, but Mrs O saw it and rated it. Vicky McClure (Line of Duty) is an excellent actress.

After a couple of episodes, I gave up on the second series of Broadchurch which I felt was turgid, so I had some misgivings about watching this third and final series. But it started quite promisingly and I'll stick with it for now.

SS-GB is likely to get the chop from us unless it drastically improves this Sunday coming. Last week's ballroom dance scene where the camera kept rotating around Sam Riley and Kate Bosworth actually made me dizzy! We've also been watching Good Karma Hospital on the catch-up channel 33, and this seems to have settled down into quite a good little series - undemanding, pleasurable Sunday night viewing. :D

My thoughts exactly Ossie - I really didn't rate the second Broadchurch series but hopefully this will be better!

Remind me what the A Word was about Ally?

The A word was about Joe - the little boy with autism and his mum (Alison) had problems accepting the fact.

Christopher Eccleston played Alison's dad and it was set in the Lake District.

Think it was on round about this time last year.
