This is shaping up to be good. Dark, psychological and with twists and turns to get you thinking.

Good acting as well and with none of the crash, bang, wallop stuff. It has a bit of a Morse / Endeavour feel to it, but at the seaside.

Planning to watch on the ITV Hub, as we both like John Simm 8-) Sounds as though we'll enjoy it :D

Awful!

We turned it off after 35 minutes. We like the Peter James "Roy Grace" books, but the adaptor for television, Russell Lewis, took rather a lot of liberties with the characters and John Simm didn't really do it for us. And sorry, I really do get fed up when the cast is over-ethnicised.

Still, I'd be interested to learn your opinion when you've seen it, Kaz. Don't forget it's all-new Midsomer Murders next Sunday. 8-)

Now you see I have not read the books so it was coming to me as delivered, and to be honest I did not notice the ethnicity thing. They were just a team of cops doing a job.

We thoroughly enjoyed it!

Ditto WM. :D

Is there to be a series in the future? I do hope so.

Big John Simm fan here too Kaz. :cute:

Can you remember him in The Lakes?

Al, he was fabulous it that! Also in that drama a couple of years back, with Dervla Kirwan, set in Hong Kong! Can't remember what it was killed, but it was awfully good 8-)

Ossie, I will let you know what I think :)

Was it Strangers Kaz? It was great!

I don't think I've seen John Simm in anything bad.
