I really enjoyed this but wasn't expecting to as I find Adam really annoying. I don't know why - I just want to slap him.
But I love Nigel Slater. There's just something about him. I rarely fancy cooking any of the food he shows but I find him very relaxing to watch.
Interesting to see how few people know what food is in season when. Although Mick and I were talking and saying really it is impossible to know nowadays as fruit and veg are available in supermarkets and markets all year round and even when they are in season you don't know that they are necessarily from the UK - you could be buying cauliflowers during their season in the UK which have actually come from Spain.
I suppose the only way to get your proper seasonal veg is at farm shops and farmers markets. Or grow your own.

I was out so missed it but agree with you Debih..there is something just so lovely and relaxing about Nigel Slater.
Even Don who doesn't 'do' TV chefs always makes a point of watching him if I am.

I have found it interesting and I quite like the way the two of them mildly wind each other up.
The disconnect people have with what is on the table and what comes out of the ground, and when, is pretty startling.

The series ended tonight and I have enjoyed it.
Some of Nigel Slater's recipes are worth tying, and Adam's farming insights opened my eyes as to what goes on from field to plate.
Unfortunately, and this is sad, getting 'ethical' food to our tables has all but gone, but unlike some shows, River Cottage forex, this was a little more pragmatic.
