WHAT? :o

Who at the BBC comes up with this crap? And who in management thinks: Mmmm, just the thing to go with a vintage Merlot and a Fortnum's "Deal for 2 for 2 grand", yummy; let's put it on during prime-time?

I can only watch The Big Bang Theory, series 3, so many times in one lifetime!

They were talking to the design woman on Breakfast "Oh it was a real challenge, designing a bedroom on only £1k"    I wonder what the weather is like, up there on Planet Posh? :P    :

I haven't watched it but I have just bought some nice curtains for my sewing room/spare bedroom and I feel guilty because they cost the princely sum of £25

Yes, that's because you and I live in the real world Loz ;)  I got my curtains for the living room and our bedroom, when we moved in, from the Home Interiors shop in the Outlet - nice lined curtains, the patio door ones are floor length, but 70% off 8-) :D :D

I'm not sure what programmes like this, with their massive budgets for interior design are trying to achieve! So few people can afford to copy them  :?

So far I don't think I'd let anyone of them near my cottage with a paintbrush. Though there are some nice touches but not all in the same room. Who knew that Battleship Grey would be the new Magnolia then? They were all using it the other night. I am enjoying watching the programme though.

Battleship Grey = Old long-stay mental hospital or orphanage IMHO :?

I agree Fugi, they could pay ME a grand and I wouldn't let them near MY bedroom    ;)

The horror that was all those clashing fabrics and colours made me want to weep. The depression of Battleship Grey made me want to cut myself. The mirror where the man stuck wooden painted petals on it. Another mirror had chicken wire on it. What happens to that duvet cover where the woman roller painted it like a potato cut when its laundered? The woman free painting that bedhead with swishy swirls thinking she was Picasso! I do like Art-Deco shapes and designs a lot so was full of hope with the rooftop room and there were bits I did like. As for re-covering that heirloom chair in the woman's bedroom? Looked like the fabric would unravel if anybody sat in it.

I'm going to keep watching it because it is fun having a good groan
