I like the look of this - it‘s written by the Last Tango In Halifax lady and stars the wonderful Sarah Lancashire.
Tuesday BBC1 9pm.

And didn't it press all the right buttons.
Another gem from Sally Wainwright. She has let all the cats out of their bags, so we know who all the characters, and their motives; all we now have to do is figure how it pans out.

We weren't struck and thought the sound was awful, not as bad as Jamaica Inn, but nearly.

Well I can't understand the sound thing then. In that scene where she was walking towards the camera with the other woman she mumbled so much we couldn't hear a word!
We don't have any problems at all with Granada TV programmes or with Drama or Gold or any of the other programmes. It is just the BBC ones. I know Mr. R and I are knocking on now, but the odds that both our hearing have suddenly gone at exactly the same time are pretty remote!

I wonder if it is a transmitter problem Rodo?
I can get three transmissions of BBC channels on my laptop through an ordinary aerial, not broadband, so that's three different frequencies. On one of them the sound is out of sync with the picture and nothing can be done to make it catch up.
Might be worth a rescan.

Watched it while in the cottage - loved it!
I do know what you mean Rodo - there were bits that we struggled to hear correctly but by and large we managed
