There was an article about it in a magazine I read today - did you know they give the contestants the recipes and let them practice them, a month in advance?
It is one of the few cookery shows I enjoy though

Oh goody! I've heard some of them saying that it had turned out well at home so I assumed they had been allowed to practice. I just wish they would stop the silly pretence that they are having the challenges sprung on them.

I'm not suprised because the contestants sometimes say that they have practised at home. I think the only time they don't know what they are doing is when they have that mystery classic they have to bake.

Yes. All the contestants get to practice.
Whether they all get the same recipes is anyone's guess, given earlier programmes.

That's what I meant, whether it's absolutely everything.
The ones they choose, of course they've done before, it was the classic test I was thinking of, they usually look helpless for those.
I guess others, maybe they have a whole list and work through them, but probably don't have a whole lot of time to do them over and over.
