Christmas TV

Is there anything you're really looking forwards to? I picked up the tv guide yesterday and there's not a lot that caught my attention...

So far I've picked out The Bear, the Raymond Briggs cartoon which has been essential Christmas viewing in our house since the boys were small, the special/final episode of Derek, Call The Midwife and there's an hour long tribute to Rick Mayall on one night. Oh, and I think it's New Years Eve afternoon that one of the ITV channels are showing the three On The Buses movies. John will no doubt roll his eyes and go out on his bike ;)

Thankfully Tom's getting The Inbetweeners 2 movie on DVD so that'll be watched at some point.

A few things :)

Call the Midwife, the Carols from Kings, Scrooge (the B&W Alastair Sim one), Downton Abbey, off the top of my head. CBA to get up and get the RT to check again

I like On the Buses too Jo, I have a real nostalgic fondness for all those old 70s comedies :) ;)

Hope so, but doubt it - haven't got a guide yet.

The last couple of years I think all we've bothered to record is Dr Who, but have watched the Strictly special - can't think of anything else but hopefully there will be some decent films and maybe concerts :)

Trying to think who it was who was listed for the NYE Jools Holland show Di, I remember looking and thinking it was worth watching for him. I'll check when I go upstairs as the guide's in the living room up there.

No worries Jo, we usually have it on anyway :)
There are a (very) few things we always watch, but they're 'regulars' not one-off specials or whatever iyswim.

I like having the Sunday before's Songs of praise on for instance, when it's all carols, and the Carols from Kings, and we have Jools on, and a few Christmassy films, but not much else.

Haven't even looked but Downton, Call the Midwife and of course, the Strictly special - I will suffer Bruce, it should be a good one as the celebs are all previous contestants and my little pet Tristan MacManus is dancing with Rachel Stevens.
