I use the term entertainment loosely

I have just watched the film We Need To Talk About Kevin.

What a depressing, miserable film that was. I am sure it was very powerful, but boy I want to slit my wrists.

There are certain films that make me think 'and that is why I don't watch films" and believe me, that was one of them

Aah, that was definitely one I chose not to see ;)
We watched A Beautiful Mind last week, that was good :)

I haven't seen the film but the book was terribly depressive...

It was truly awful all the way through not one glimmer of light

The description in the TV guide put me off; and the fact that arty-farty types rated it highly cemented my decision not to watch.

I watched it because the book got good reviews, on here too I think?

I find that when things get rated below four it is usually deserved. When they get more than eight I find it is more often from a clique rather than a general view.

I'd never heard of this one, but on reading Wikipedia's description of it, I certainly
wouldn't consider it as the sort of entertainment I would ever consider watching.
