Apparently this is the new big BBC costume drama coming soon! Hannah said it's in post-production now, and coming in the New Year :)

I know, it's a very, very, long book - and I would have thought very expensive to film!

I had to study the abridged version at school and that ruined everything until I was given a paperback copy one holiday. What a different experience!

There is a lot in the way of character building and conversations which could probably be safely left out, but it is one huge exercise to undertake.

admittedly never read the book but not sure I'd want to watch it either. Enough doom and gloom in real life - TV for me needs to be escapism and fun

I've never seen such a random cast list in all my life!

Saying that, James Norton (Happy Valley) is in it so it might not be all bad. ;) ;)
