I stuck with it and it was OK, if a bit slow. Some of the acting was a bit OTT, in the melodrama stakes, and pretty amateurish at other times.

Didn't really like it; it was too dark and (I agree) some of the acting was decidedly OTT.
I would also single out the denouement. The hanging scene was far too long and too macabre for me, it was almost "viewer porn". I wouldn't say it spoilt the series, because I wasn't over-enamored with it anyway, but it wouldn't surprise me if there weren't a few complaints about it at the end of the day ...

Aidan Turner was rather nice though.

We were saving this for the player, and will still give it a go - but you and I tend to have similar tastes in TV drama Ossie, I've noticed, so will approach with caution

Yes Rodo, Mr Turner was a bit scrummy, although I have to say, him in just a towel.....Kaz you'll need a cold shower waiting
I enjoyed it but have to agree it was a bit slow in parts (I don't know what denoument is Ossie!) - I'm sure they could have done it in two hours rather than three.

The "reveal" Gal where the mystery becomes clear!
Yes Aidan is pretty scrummy so I reckon I'd probably watch for that reason alone
